Personality: Outside of work, Orianthe is slightly quiet in social settings, but isn't a wallflower. She just prefers to observe others, listen, and decide for herself to join in or not. Highly curious, she tends to ask a lot of questions, and sometimes can't help herself. Due to her upbringing she will try to be as polite as possible, and always smile. If she’s always polite, it’ll make her parents look good, and their business look good, at least that’s what she tells herself. To her a smile is a way to know someone is friendly and non threatening. It takes a lot for her to just not smile. If she feels that she can't add anything to a conversation, or if the current conversation has died or uninterests her, she is prone to either stating so or just walking away to find something that will interest her. Although that habit might come across as rude, she'd rather just not lead people on, and she will try to remember to give a passing statement of her leaving. While at work she is completely formal and polite, makes small talk, and will laugh at every joke, even if she doesn't quite understand it. To her the customer is always right, even if they put her in an uncomfortable situation.

Biography: Orianthe is the oldest out of two children, and has always tried her best to be a good big sister. She was always a curious and quiet child, preferring to listen to others to learn how things are. Because of this she's been able to help her younger sister avoid certain situations or people that would cause her trouble. This didn't help her, though, as she always managed to end up somewhere she shouldn't be, arguing with someone over what she would assume is right or wrong. Her desire to explore new things, and her talent to lose interest quickly, did cause some problems at school. She would just leave the classroom rather than sit through a boring lecture. This ultimately resulted in her being home schooled since she feared displeasing her parents.

As she grew older, Orianthe developed an interest in how various plants, herbs, and oils smelled, and how in different amounts and combinations they would have different effects. Since she was 12, if she wasn't helping her parents, she was studying. Of course her idea of studying was partially in books, and the other part was filled with exploring and trying to find the plants on her own. She prefers to search for aquatic plants, or flowers with a light fragrance. Her parents, quite relieved she had found something that could hold her interest, encouraged her studies, feeling it could help her, and them, out at some point.

Shortly after she turned 17, her parents were able to afford their own spa, and she began to actually practice aromatherapy for customers. Although she's happy with her job, she occasionally feels restless, wanting to see more of the world and meet new people. It wasn’t until sometime after she was 21 her sister started to help out more, giving her more free time to attempt to socialize.

Loves:
Flowers and herbs: Regardless of color, shape, size, or taste, Orianthe has a love and fascination with flowers and herbs, wanting to learn every way she can use them to help others. She also finds flowers, regardless of which kind, to be the most beautiful things in the world. The easiest way to get her to talk or to like you is to either ask her about flowers or to give her one. However, asking her about flowers might result in a steady stream of questions directed at that person.

Friendship: Although clunky and awkward with anything emotional, Orianthe does, and always will, have a soft spot for anyone she considers a friend. She may not always voice it, but she will go out of her way to make them comfortable and happy.

Being Helpful: This is the main reason why she observes and has become an herbalist. If it can help someone, she’ll do it. If there is anything she can do, she won’t hesitate. Regardless of how small or large the effort or request, Orianthe will do her best to comply.

Likes:
Swimming: It doesn’t matter where, if she can swim, she’s happy.

Fresh/clean/light floral smells: She’s prone to searching through just about anywhere to find herbs, so being able to relax with gentle smells always makes her happy.

Affection: Although grandiose displays of affection make her highly uncomfortable; hugs, head patting, attempting to hold someone’s hand, giving some gifts or tokens, all of this she enjoys.

Favorite Vegetable: Amaranth

Uncomfortable With:
Flirts: She likes to know where she stands with people, and she can’t seem to get a read on those who flirt with multiple people. It makes her wonder if they’re actually interested, or just putting on an act that they do for everyone.

Emotions: Any emotion that isn’t a pleasant one makes her uncomfortable, though mostly if she has to express it. She’s fine with having people believe she’s happy when in her head she’s not. It’s easier to get her to express concerns if it’s coming across as a joke, as something fleeting, or if expressing them will make the other person feel more at ease.

Regret: The issue with regret and Orianthe is that she doesn’t know how to respond to it. She’s unsure if she should remedy it, or let it be.

Opulence: Most things overly elaborate, overly indulgent, overly rich, will make her feel uncomfortable and afraid to really move.

Dislikes:
Violence for Violence’s Sake: Although she understands that there is a need for action, and that action isn’t always pleasant, she doesn’t like, nor understand, people who hurt others because they can.

Assumptions: Typically assumptions made about her or someone she’s close to. The quickest way to get her to dislike you is if you assume she’ll charge for healing.

Anything Forced: From gifts to apologies, actions or words, if it’s forced, she doesn’t like it, and is prone to either flat out rejecting it, or calling the other out.

Hates:
Injustice: If you enjoy taunting or harming others, she will hate you. If she catches someone being hateful, she’ll let them know, and typically with a tail slap to the face, or her telling them off.

Being trapped: Whether mentally or physically, if Orianthe feels she doesn’t have a way out, she will start to panic. This leads to her need to constantly explore and seek out new people and experience while still keeping everyone an arms reach away. This fear typically hits if she’s underwater and gets stuck. A few times she has forgotten she can breathe.

Being Unappreciated: If she feels that someone is taking her for granted, she’ll ignore them, simply cut them out of her life. If they ask, she’ll deflect and try to sidestep the issue. If pressed she’ll respond coldly, possibly letting them know everything she doesn’t like about them at once, only to regret it later.
